Get ready to see Chris Bell in Dolphins preseason finale

The Miami Dolphins have not looked their best in the preseason on offense. They have managed just ten points in their first two preseason games. The Dolphins have received good news about some offensive players recently, as Quinn Ewers and Chris Bell got positive injury news.

Now, there is another update on Bell, which should excite fans, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.

“Dolphins rookie WR Chris Bell has a chance to play in Friday’s preseason finale. Hafley said that’s the plan for him, depending on how the next two days of practice go,” Louis-Jacques posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Bell was a third-round pick of the Dolphins in the 2026 NFL Draft. He was stellar in his final season of college football at Louisville, bringing in 72 receptions for 917 yards and six touchdowns. Overall, in four years, he played in 47 games, starting 24. The receiver brought in 151 receptions for 2,166 yards and 12 scores. He tore his ACL against SMU at the end of November and has not seen the field since. Regardless, he just shed his red non-contact jersey recently and is hopeful to see action this week.

There is a question on if the starters will be joining him in the lineup, something David Furones of the Sun Sentinel touches on.

“Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley said he’s ‘still kind of up in the air’ on whether starters play Friday night against the Falcons. He said he would like them to get reps ‘in a perfect world.'” Furones posted on X.

While the Dolphins got good news on Bell, they received some bad news on the defensive side of the ball.

“Dolphins rookie LB Trey Moore will have surgery on his ankle, per Hafley. Team is hopeful he will return at some point this season, ‘but it’ll be a while.'” Louis-Jacques posted.

The Dolphins are set to face the Atlanta Falcons on Friday night.
