Lamar Jackson fantasy managers will love Raven QB’s vintage mic drop

The Baltimore Ravens could look like a brand new team in 2026. Baltimore’s new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle should bring plenty of schematic changes on that side of the ball. Could that mean a return to MVP form for QB Lamar Jackson?

Baltimore’s franchise quarterback was asked how much he will run during the 2026 season after Wednesday’s training camp practice. Lamar gave a very honest response to the question.

“I believe you know, I know, a lot of people know I was hurt last year too,” Jackson said, per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “I really couldn’t do anything I wanted to, you know? So it really wouldn’t put my team in a good position if I was just running hurt. Losing yards, things like that was happening. But whatever it takes to win, that’s what I’m all about and I’ve always been about that too.”

Lamar dealt with multiple injuries throughout the 2025 season. He picked up a hamstring sprain early in the season before also suffering a back contusion in December. That is all on top of several other nicks and bruises throughout the meat of the regular season schedule.

Jackson was then asked if he thinks 2026 will be like previous seasons as far as running the football.

“Whatever it takes to win,” Jackson replied with a big smile on his face.

That smile suggests that Jackson does plan to get back to his scrambling ways in 2026. If that does happen, he could become an elite fantasy football asset once again.

Remember, Lamar never had fewer than 100 rushing attempts or 695 rushing yards in a single season before 2025. But he only managed 67 rushing attempts last season. That leaves a lot of room for him to rebounds this fall.

It will be exciting to see how Jackson looks in Doyle’s new offensive scheme.

The Ravens open the regular season with a road game against the Colts on September 13th.
