Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson clarifies stance on Donald Trump before White House visit
Despite what people may think, Mitchell Robinson doesn’t vibe with Donald Trump, as he made clear ahead of the New York Knicks’ White House visit.
One fan commented on Robison’s “big country” post on Instagram, asking, “How do you support Trump as a Black man in America[?]”

Robinson didn’t take long to respond, simply saying, “I don’t,” to the fan. The fan who asked the question then said, “Cool,” while a separate fan commented, “Thanks GOAT.”
Will Mitchell Robinson attend the Knicks’ visit to Donald Trump’s White House?

It’s unknown if Robinson will attend the Knicks’ White House visit whenever it happens. His teammate, Jose Alvarado, meanwhile, said that he would go with the flow, saying, “If there’s a chance, I’m going wherever my teammate goes.”
James Dolan recently confirmed that the Knicks accepted Trump’s invitation for a White House visit. He is a close friend of Trump, recently inviting him to Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.
When Trump’s intentions to attend Game 3 surfaced, fans began joking about how Robinson would act. The Knicks’ center responded to one post by saying, “You ain’t lying brother.”
However, jokes aside, it doesn’t appear that Robinson is a Trump supporter. Regardless, he may still attend the team’s White House visit.
Robinson wasn’t a huge factor on offense in the NBA Finals, but he was big on defense. He averaged just 3.6 points per game in the series, and he also made four of 15 free throws. Robinson had to guard Victor Wembanyama, especially when Karl-Anthony Towns got into foul trouble.
He just finished his eighth year with the Knicks. Previously, he was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He has remained part of the team since, starting 215 games and appearing in 397 total. Generally, he comes off the bench when KAT needs a rest.
