Kelsey Prime becomes Prime’s newest player contributor
Kelsey Plum is adding broadcasting to her already packed basketball résumé. Prime Video announced Thursday that Kelsey Plum will join its WNBA coverage this season as a player contributor, making select appearances throughout the 2026 campaign.
The move gives Prime Video another active player voice as the company continues building out its growing basketball coverage. Plum, now with the Los Angeles Sparks, arrives with championship experience, Olympic gold medals, and one of the most recognizable personalities in women’s basketball.
“There’s so much talent and momentum around the league,” Plum said in the release. “And I look forward to bringing fans a current player’s perspective while highlighting the personalities and storylines that make the game so special.”

Prime Continues Building Star-Powered Basketball Coverage
Prime Video already tested this model successfully on the NBA side with Kyle Lowry joining its coverage as an active player contributor in 2025. Lowry later expanded his role during the NBA playoffs, appearing on select studio shows while still playing professionally.
Plum now joins a loaded WNBA studio roster that includes Candace Parker, Swin Cash, Cynthia Cooper, and Teresa Weatherspoon.
The streamer also assembled a deep game broadcast lineup featuring Michael Grady, Lisa Byington, Kara Lawson, and LaChina Robinson.
Plum’s addition comes as the WNBA continues seeing major momentum across television, sponsorships, and national attention. The former No. 1 overall pick already built one of the league’s most decorated careers, from breaking NCAA scoring records at University of Washington to winning back-to-back championships with the Las Vegas Aces.
Now, she will bring that perspective directly to viewers while still competing on the court.
