Jalen Johnson gives Dream their flowers for hot start in 2026

The Atlanta Dream were able to win their third straight game, defeating the Indiana Fever on Saturday afternoon, while also making it back-to-back wins against them. It’s been an offensive surge from the Dream in those past three games, and it looks like they’ve found something that will help them as the season continues.

The city of Atlanta always supports its teams, and players from other teams come out to show love as well. This time, it was Jalen Johnson who was courtside during the game, and Atlanta Hawks reporter Jameelah Johnson asked him about what he’s seen from the Dream so far.

“They’ve just been playing well…it’s just good what they’re doing for the city,” Johnson said.

Not only was Johnson present at the game, but CJ McCollum and his son showed up.

Johnson is witnessing what the rest of the league is, and it’s that the Dream have been playing well this season. They’re currently 11-4 and are in third place in the standings, and it would not be a surprise if they stayed in the mix of the top teams this season. They finished as the No. 3 seed last season with first-year head coach Karl Smesko, but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Fever.

This season, they believed they needed a player who could help them get over the hump, and it was Angel Reese whom they traded for in the offseason to accomplish that.

So far, it’s safe to say that the trade was a win for the Dream, and they’re not even at full strength yet. Brionna Jones is still recovering from her meniscus injury, and the latest report was that she would resume team activities in the coming weeks. That’s good news for the Dream, as they’ll be adding another All-Star to the fold.
