Is Luke Kennard playing tonight? Lakers vs. Thunder 2026 NBA Playoffs Game 2 injury report
The Los Angeles Lakers need all the firepower they can get in Game 2 of their second-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Thursday.
LeBron James was the lone bright spot for the Lakers in their loss in Game 1, as Austin Reaves, Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, and Luke Kennard all struggled to get going.
Kennard, in particular, was bothered by neck soreness. He was listed as questionable before Game 1, but he pushed through it.

The 29-year-old guard was again listed as questionable for Game 2, according to the NBA’s injury report.
That is not a good sign for the Lakers, who have struggled to find solutions against the Thunder. Even coach JJ Redick admitted that they have “sucked” versus the defending champions.
Kennard had seven points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two turnovers in 29 minutes off the bench in Game 1. He only made one field goal.
The sweet-shooting southpaw is considered one of the X-factors for the Purple and Gold against Oklahoma City, but he has struggled with his shot recently. He is 9-of-34, including 3-of-16 from long distance, in their last five games.
Kennard led the league in three-point percentage for the third time at 47.7%.
If he cannot suit up in Game 2, Jake Laravia, Dalton Knecht, and Nick Smith Jr. might get extra minutes.

Jarred Vanderbilt – Doubtful (right finger dislocation)
Luka Doncic – Out (left hamstring strain)
