Injured WWE star Chelsea Green to debut brand new look

Just days after winning the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2026, Chelsea Green suffered an orbital bone injury. Appearing on the immediate next episode of Friday Night SmackDown after SummerSlam, Green sustained the injury while battling Fatal Influence.

Later, reports emerged that while Green was not expected to relinquish her title, she was not cleared for in-ring action. WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles soon shared a major update on Green’s status, where he revealed that WWE was planning to put a mask on her. Something Rhea Ripley had done previously.

“They’re going to throw a mask on her, I’m sure of it. I actually did get to see her. I think she came down to the trainers. I believe she lives in Florida, so I saw her at the trainers at the Performance Center, and she’s doing okay. She’s not mad about the situation. It is what it is. She said she’s got some bad luck,” he shared.

Later, Green appeared for an interview with Etalk, where she revealed that she has a bedazzled face mask ready to protect her from the injury. “I don’t know what’s going to happen tonight, but that’s the beauty of it. Anything can happen. I have my face mask ready to go that can protect my orbital bone. So, if someone comes at me for this title, know that I am prepared.”

She addressed the question of whether the mask was bedazzled. “Of course, it is. Would you expect any less from me? I bedazzled the entire thing. I’ve got eye patches ready to go as well that match my outfits depending on what I wear.”

As of now, there are no confirmed updates yet about Green’s return to wrestling, but she’s expected to defend her title in the next 30 days or relinquish it. A rule that was not applied in the case of Liv Morgan, who went over 100 days without defending her Women’s World Championship.
