Just hours before the start of the 2026-2027 season for Manchester City in the Premier League, their striker and Norway forward Erling Haaland has unveiled his new look. Following an extremely successful FIFA World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, Haaland is officially back.

Sharing a video on his YouTube channel, Haaland flaunted his new look. Haaland has now revealed a shocking new hairstyle ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League opener on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026.

The 26-year-old shared photos on social media hours before the Bournemouth match, showcasing his new appearance, and a full video was also uploaded to his official YouTube channel. “Short hair, don’t care,” Haaland wrote as he uploaded the pictures on his social media.

The Norwegian has chopped his luscious blonde hair to now sport a short buzz cut. Just hours before City’s Premier League journey started, Haaland documented his new look process and shared it with his fans. Known for being extremely active on social media, Haaland has now continued to maintain that reputation.

He took to social media to share a short video of the haircut, while sitting comfortably in home in his chair with his mane draping over his shoulders. However, when the camera zoomed closer, he obstructed the lens with his hand. When it cut to the new video, he was sitting in the same chair in the same outfit, but with close-cropped hair. He also proceeded to surprise Jack Grealish, Pep Guardiola, and Zlatan Ibrahimović with his new look.

Even before the season begins, Haaland is a favourite in 2026/27 to claim a fourth Premier League Golden Boot award in the last five seasons, having netted 27 goals in 35 top-flight appearances last term.
