After several months of rumors and speculation, Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua has finally signed the contract for their fight. The two heavyweights are set to clash head-to-head in arguably one of the biggest fights in British boxing history later this year.

However, months before their rumored fight in Nov. 2026, boxing legend Mike Tyson addressed the bout and claimed that he could miss out on it. Previously reported by the Daily Mail, Joshua and Fury are said to have signed contracts to fight on Nov. 20, 2026, in New York City.

But the news that the fight wouldn’t take place in Britain sparked a strong reaction. Recently, Fury announced in an explosive rant that the fight “doesn’t look like it’s going to happen,” criticizing his rival and accusing Joshua’s ‘money-thirsty’ promoter, Eddie Hearn. However, it did not sit well with boxing legend Mike Tyson, who believes the fight should take place in the UK.

‘It’s going to be a great fight, it’s going to be great for boxing… even though I can’t go – I’m barred from London – I think London should get the fight,’ said Tyson to the Daily Mail. Unfortunately, Tyson is blocked from visiting the UK due to his criminal history.

“They’re both English and if they come here, all the English people are going to come anyway. So you’re home already, let’s do it there! Everybody that [wants] to be there, they’re going to come to the United States – it’s going to be full of English people. It’s just going to be just like it is over there. There ain’t going to be many Americans there because they’ll sell it out. All the English – very few Americans – sold it out when I fought Frank Bruno [twice in Las Vegas],” Tyson said.

“Iron” Mike Tyson was jailed for rape in 1992 and has also been convicted of assault, cocaine possession and driving under the influence.
