Packers’ Micah Parsons comes up with his own Jordan Love ranking

Many are expecting Jordan Love to have a breakout campaign for the Green Bay Packers in the upcoming season. After an impressive stint last year, all signs point to the seventh-year quarterback earning his first appearance in the Pro Bowl or even his first nod to the All-Pro Team.

Last month, Micah Parsons grabbed attention for his blunt reaction to Love being ranked No. 72 on the NFL’s top 100 list. On X, Parsons said: “Seventy-one players in the NFL aren’t better than Jordan Love!”

Last season, Love threw for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He tallied a 101.2 passer rating and was among the leaders in advanced statistics, a testament to Love’s improved efficiency.

On “The Edge,” Parsons doubled down on his stance on Love.

“I think Jordan is gonna be a top-five quarterback this year. I think he’s gonna show the world how great he really can be,” said the veteran enforcer.

“When we go through our top 100 as players, fans, they’re like, ‘Oh, so-and-so is an All-Pro’ or ‘So-and-so was not an All-Pro,’ that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about when I’m playing you on the field.”

When asked to compare Love to other signal-callers ranked above him, including Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos, Drake Maye of the New England Patriots, and Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, Parsons continued to tout his teammate.

“We swept the Detroit Lions last year. Jordan Love put up 30-plus (points) against one of the top defenses in the NFL. Come on, bro,” added the five-time Pro Bowler.

Clearly, Parsons was deeply impressed with Love in his first stint with the Packers. He was traded to Green Bay by the Dallas Cowboys last season in exchange for Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.

He is still recovering from an ACL injury.
