Graphic warning: Ex-WWE Star Carmella shares first picture since eye surgery

A former WWE Superstar and women’s champion, Carmella, recently underwent successful eye surgery. Also known as Leah Van Dale and WWE Commentator Corey Graves’ wife, Carmella, has now shared an update following the surgery.

Since leaving WWE in 2023, Carmella has not wrestled a single match. A mother of two, Carmella also developed drop foot, a condition causing functional limitations in her foot, due to nerve damage during childbirth in Nov. 2023. While the 38-year-old has teased getting back into wrestling, nothing confirmed has taken place yet.

A few days ago, Carmella revealed undergoing upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery. Now, she shared a 72-hour post-op update on her Instagram stories, where she revealed her bruised pictures following her surgery. Carmella’s post-surgery pictures can be seen below: (graphic warning)

Carmella revealed that her bruises had started to turn yellow, which meant showing signs of healing. She also claimed that the swelling on her face had decreased since before the surgery.

Carmella addresses her WWE exit

Last year, in early 2025, Carmella appeared on the KILLR podcast, where she opened up in detail about her WWE exit as well as the potential reasons behind it. “Let’s have the conversations that women aren’t having,” Carmella said. “Is it because I’m a woman? Is it because I had a baby? It feels like a s**tty way to end a 12-year career with the company.”

“He still has a job. We had a kid, and he has a job, but I don’t,” she explained. “I guess fast-forward until a few weeks ago, and I got a call saying my contract was up in 10 days. [Everyone] ghosted. Completely ghosted.”
