Giants’ Jaxson Dart introduces Donald Trump at New York event
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is the signal-caller of the best team in the nation’s biggest media market, and as such, he’s going to get high-profile opportunities in the offseason. And it doesn’t get much more high-profile than introducing the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
That’s exactly what Dart did at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY. He took to the stage at a Trump rally and gave the leader of the free world a brief intro.
“What’s up, what’s up, what’s up. Look, Big Blue Nation it’s a pleasure to be here,” Dart told a crowd of around 5,000. “And without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America: President Donald J. Trump.”

President Trump came out and embraced Dart before thanking the Giants QB and calling him “a future Hall of Famer.”
Dart’s into, unsurprisingly, caused an uproar on social media and the internet in general. Like most things that involve Donald Trump, the reaction was relatively equally split between praising and criticizing the quarterback for supporting the wildly polarizing president.
This was a bold move by the young QB ahead of his second NFL season. Entering the political fray is something many young athletes stay away from, and whether Dart explicitly meant to or not, introducing Trump at an event does represent wading into political waters.
On a lighter note, social media also went wild comparing the heights of the 23-year-old QB and the 79-year-old president. Dart’s height is listed at 6-foot-3, while Trump supposedly measures in at 6-foot-2. The video seems to suggest that the businessman-turned-politician may need a new measurement.
