Norwich vs West Brom (3PM – Championship)
After the arrival of manager Phillipe Clement in November 2025, Norwich went on a tear, winning 14 of the next 22 games, lifting the club to ninth place.
It begged the question, what can Clement do with a full season in charge? We will see his Canaries take on West Brom on the opening weekend, the Baggies battled relegation all season and need a full reset to return to former glories.
Carrow Road will be rocking and should help fire Norwich to victory here.
Prediction: Norwich – 37/40
Draw – 5/2
West Brom – 29/10
Charlton vs Derby (3PM – Championship)
An away day victory sure taste’s sweet. And that’s where I’m siding this week.
Charlton have struggled considerably in this fixture over recent seasons, with the Londoners winning just one of their past five clashes against Derby.
The summer signings of Sammie Szmodics and Filip Bilbija from Paderborn have been made to address the potential lack of creativity in the Derby ranks. And that could be enough to seal a famous opening day of the season win on the road.
Prediction: Derby – 13/8
Draw – 11/5
Charlton – 17/10
Bradford vs Peterborough (3PM – League One)
Despite losing in last season’s playoff semi-finals, Bradford should only take positives from going oh so close to sealing back-to-back promotions.
They are now an established third-tier outfit with ambition to push on further, with real pedigree and belief they can challenge at the top of the division yet again.
Peterborough had a rough end to last season, going on a nine-match winless run.
Luke Williams will hope to lean on the side’s home form to build a base to work from. A win at Valley Parade could prove a step too far, so early in the campaign.
Prediction: Bradford – 13/20
Draw – 29/10
Peterborough – 4/1
Chesterfield vs Fleetwood Town (3PM – League Two)
These two sides met just 7 days ago in the EFL Cup first round. Fleetwood, on home soil, edged the game 1-0
But Chesterfield looked a real threat from crosses in that game and should have drawn level late on. Back The Spirerites to extract revenge in the league this week.
Prediction: Chesterfield – 5/6
Draw – 5/2
Fleetwood – 10/3
