Plenty to look forward to on ITV Racing on Saturday with the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes from Newbury and the Great St Wilfrid from Ripon.

Also fiercely competitive racing from Newmarket live on the channel and I’ve covered every single race and included main dangers to my selections.

Newbury 1.25 Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Geoffrey Freer Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3YO plus) 1m51/2f

I can see TABLETALK reversing form with Mount Atlas here. He was only pegged back in the final couple of strides in the Silver Cup and with the winner penalised here he can get the better of that rival and come out on top now. He has been consistent and has a great chance here with Saffie Osborne booked.

Dubai Honour obviously has the form to be a big player and has won fresh before so shouldn’t be underestimated. Gamrai would also have a squeak but does need to improve again as this is a good race.

Newbury 1.55 D&H, Excellence In Nutrition Handicap (Class 3) (3YO plus) 5f

No surprise to see KINSWOMAN top of the betting here. I think the step up to 6f went against her at York and now back to the minimum and eased in grade she looks a massive player. Her form earlier in the season was decent and she still appeals as a filly with more to come so is worth keeping firmly on side.

Rhythm N Hooves has been holding his form really well and he could be one of the main protagonists. At a bigger price Wheels Of Fire is still just a 4yo and he was back to form winning at Sandown so is also noted.

Bet on KINSWOMAN to win at 7/2 with Betfred

Newmarket 2.10 Betway Grey Horse Handicap (Class 4) (3YO plus) 6f

Havana Blue has been ultra consistent and has solid claims again but at the top of the market there doesn’t seem to be much juice in his price. STRIKE isn’t getting any younger but showed his love for the game winning narrowly at Newbury last month. He has an obvious chance off the back of that and is an each way price.

Archduke Ferdinand also arrives in winning form and is my idea of the biggest danger to the selection. Nevasca Cinza has been largely overlooked in the betting and is another one capable of getting involved.

Newbury 2.35 TPT Fire Handicap (Class 2) (3YO plus) 7f

I don’t fully trust Scoville so I think he is opposable at the top of the market. ADDISON GREY himself has a bit to prove but that run at York last time wasn’t that bad beaten around five lengths. He went close at Salisbury before that albeit sent off a warm order and still has the potential off his current mark to put in a big performance.

Great Acclaim wasn’t disgraced at Ascot last time and could definitely land a blow here so is feared. At a bigger price Stellar Sunrise needs to bounce back but if doing so could go close and might be worth a saver.

Bet on ADDISON GREY each way at 9/2 with Ladbrokes

Ripon 2.55 William Hill Supporting MND Silver Cup Handicap (Class 4) (3YO plus) 6f

At a double-figure price WOODSTOCK could run well here. He caught the eye building on that Catterick run to go close at Chester and was beaten just over two lengths at Thirsk behind a progressive horse in Asuka so I think that is form that will work out well in time.

Magic Boy remains largely unexposed winning on penultimate start and then finishing seventh last time in a good race. If he brings his best he will be a big danger. Emperor Caradoc is back on his last winning mark and is around 25/1 so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him backed in come post time.

Newbury 3.10 Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1) (3YO plus) 7f

After shaping like he would come on a bit for the run SYMBOL OF HONOUR really impressed winning the Hackwood Stakes over 6f here last month. I loved the way he hit the line so if his stamina holds up now tackling an extra furlong he will be a danger to all in this with Buick in the saddle again.

Coppull impressed winning on reappearance and again ran well to finish fourth in the July Cup last month. That is strong form and like the selection if he stays the trip he should go close. Extremely Zain didn’t lose much in defeat last time and is another one with a chance in a good renewal.

Bet on SYMBOL OF HONOUR each way at 9/2 with Spreadex

Ripon 3.25 William Hill/MND Association Great St Wilfrid Handicap (Class 2) (3YO plus) 6f

This is undoubtedly the toughest race of the day but I do like KHAFIZ at a big price. He remains lightly raced for a sprinter and has run two creditable races since joining this yard. He was only beaten three lengths at Chester last time and if building on that again with this track likely to suit he could surprise a few in here.

Lord Roxby was well backed before winning over C&D last time so has obvious claims if backing that up despite this being tougher. Fast Track Harry will probably go off favourite as he ran well at Ascot and is on his last winning mark. Royal Zabeel needs more off this mark but is tough and likeable and can be in the mix too.

Bet on KHAFIZ wach way at 14/1 with Ladbrokes

Newbury 3.42 Darley EBF Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Class 2) (2YO only) 7f

Not much to go on in the lucky last so it might be worth taking a chance on debutant MOSHEER for Owen Burrows.

I know the yard are struggling a bit for form but this colt by New Bay cost 185,000 guineas and is related to some nice types. They seem to hold him in quite high regard and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was good enough first time out.

Of those with form Mister Whippy was keen on debut but ran well to finish fourth at Doncaster and the form has been franked with the second Narrjoo winning nicely at Ffos Las earlier in the week.

Blackbeard colt San Jose has a wide draw but cost €105,000 and is another one who could be useful judging by his pedigree so keep an eye on the market.

My top tip for ITV Racing on Saturday

I’m keeping the faith with KINSWOMAN back down to the minimum trip and eased in grade and I have doubled up with SYMBOL OF HONOUR in the Hungerford as he shapes as though 7f will be fine and arrives at the top of his game.
