After being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this year, Michael Pittman Jr. thinks the team will have a new look when they hit the field this fall.

Talking to reporters at Friday’s practice, Pittman told reporters that he considers his “physicality his superpower” and hopes the Steelers play with more toughness in his first season, which is exactly what fans want to see.

“Every guy has like a certain trait that makes him him,” Pittman Jr. noted. “And I feel like me like I can run, but my superpower is sort of my physicality, my catching traffic and like stuff like that so just being like who I am I think is like my best trait.”

The Steelers picked up Pittman from the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, adding another reliable and consistent receiver next to D.K. Metcalf. Pittman plays tough football, making difficult catches in traffic and blocking for teammates whenever necessary. Last season with Indianapolis, he caught 80 passes for 784 yards and had seven touchdowns, showing impressive consistency.

Now Pittman gets the chance to prove himself in a new offense with fresh opportunities. He will line up across from Metcalf, a fellow standout. Both appear as starters on the Steelers’ first 2026 depth chart. Together, they can create an exciting and dynamic duo on the outside.
