The Los Angeles Dodgers’ slump hit a new low Friday night in Phoenix. Ryan Waldschmidt delivered a two-run walk-off home run off closer Edwin Diaz, lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks past the Dodgers and extending Los Angeles’ losing streak to seven games.
The result continued a stunning collapse for a team that had held the best record in baseball as recently as two weeks ago.

The Dodgers entered the series opener already reeling, having been swept in back-to-back series by the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs. Over that six-game skid, Los Angeles was outscored 42-22 and averaged allowing seven runs per game, a stretch that included giving up five or more runs in five of the six losses.
