Drake goes after Lakers star LeBron James on new leaked song

Canadian rapper Drake’s feud with American stars seems to continue. Just years after his diss battle and feud with Kendrick Lamar, the 39-year-old has now seemingly targeted the NBA’s Lakers star, LeBron James.

According to online speculation, Drake appears to have taken a major shot at James in a leaked song ahead of the album Iceman’s release. A recently leaked song from the album, allegedly named “1AM in Albany,” seems to contain a direct diss aimed at LeBron James.

“I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up… Please stop asking what’s going on with 23 & me, I’m a real n**** and he’s not, it’s in my DNA,” the lyrics from the song read. In the track, Drake potentially takes a shot at James and his loyalty.

James and Drake once used to be good friends. However, their friendship has suffered a fallout since then. Cracks developed in their friendship when James openly supported and attended Lamar’s The Pop Out concert. He has also been seen multiple times engaging with Lamar’s diss track, “Not Like Us,” targeted at Drake. Following this, the Canadian has taken multiple shots at James through his songs.

Talking of James’ loyalty, the 41-year-old began his career in the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played from 2003 until 2010. He then switched teams and joined the Miami Heat till 2014. From 2014 to 2018, James again maintained a stint with the Cavaliers before joining the Los Angeles Lakers, where he has remained since.
