Chelsea Green pitched bonkers hair vs. hair WWE WrestleMania match against Nikki Bella

At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Chelsea Green shocked everyone and crowned herself the new Women’s Champion. On a media spree after winning the title, Green, still injured, appeared in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet.

Talking about various topics, Vliet and Green opened up about her desire to be in a hair vs. hair match. Green revealed that she was open to shaving her head and had pitched the idea multiple times to WWE. Open to losing and shaving her head, Green claimed that he had pitched the idea of wrestling Nikki Bella at the last two WrestleManias in a hair vs. hair match.

“I’m so serious that I pitched it for both WrestleManias in Vegas versus Nikki Bella. I’ll lose. I’ll shave my head,” she said. “Now I’m the WWE Women’s Champion, I’m not shaving my head. No, I’m kidding. I think I would, but I so badly wanted to make the U.S. title something special. I don’t know that I was able to do that in my two reigns, but I think had I been able to have that feud with Nikki and shave my head, I think it would have cemented the U.S. title as something that wasn’t underneath this title, and that’s what I was trying to do,” she shared.

Green also opened up about how she’d look with a shaved head as well as her husband Matt Cardona’s reaction to it. “I have a huge forehead. I would look like a peanut, but my husband loves me, and he also was like, ‘Yeah, do it, whatever. That’d be so cool.’ He’s such a student of the game. He would love it. He would love knowing that I did something that would be history-making, right?”

However, as of now, there are no plans for Green to shave her head or even defend her Women’s title on an upcoming PLE.
