Exclusive: Has Taylor Lewan gotten ‘redemption’ with The Rock after infamous snub?

It wasn’t long ago that former NFL offensive lineman Taylor Lewan was snubbed by The Smashing Machine star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but have they made up?

After the moment went viral on social media, Lewan and Johnson had a back-and-forth in the comments section on X, formerly Twitter.

First, The Rock apologized, saying, “Dude what in theeeeee f**k lol[.] Why didn’t you say something!!? Smack me in the head next time brother.”

Lewan responded, taking responsibility for the moment, “I’ll be honest, this isn’t on you. I folded under pressure. Gotta figure out a way to get redemption.”

Has he gotten that “redemption”? Speaking to ClutchPoints alongside his Bussin’ with the Boys co-host, Will Compton, the former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman appreciated the question, as a smiling Lewan said, “That’s a great pull, dude.”

He explained that they’ve exchanged messages via DM, even trying to get him on the podcast, but nothing concrete has been set quite yet. According to Lewan, The Rock has sent “multiple voice messages” to him.

How Taylor Lewan can get “redemption” after The Rock’s snub

As Lewan put it, “He’s done everything but come on the show. He’s done everything but [actually] have that final cherry on top redemption.”

There are no hard feelings from the Titans legend, though, as Lewan slyly flexed, “But, you know, that’s Unc, man. That’s my guy. So, talk a little bit.”

Hopefully, The Rock is able to join Bussin’ with the Boys. It’s clear that Lewan is a big fan, and it’d be a full-circle moment for them.

Lewan and Compton started Bussin’ with the Boys in 2019, while they were still both active players in the NFL. They were teammates on the Tennessee Titans in 2018 and 2020.
