Inside the NBA is weighing in on the viral Ice Spice McDonald’s incident, and Charles Barkley has the crew in shambles.

Last week, the Bronx rapper was involved in a fight at a Los Angeles McDonald’s in Hollywood. Barkley, who hosts Inside the NBA with Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Ernie Johnson Jr. Barkley introduced the topic before the security footage rolled, with Barkley saying, “There’s some Slappy Happy Meals over there.” In the background, you can hear the crew laughing.

Shaq, who was unaware of the incident, asked Barkley to explain.

“You see Ice Spice got slapped at McDonald’s?” Barkley asked.

Shaq responded with a laugh, “Come on man.”

“What you doing at a McDonald’s in the middle of the night Ice Spice?” Barkley said jokingly.

Johnson chimed in to thank McDonald’s who is a sponsor of the show while Shaq and Barkley shared their favorite meals.

What happened to Ice Spice at McDonald’s?

The incident that Inside the NBA was referring to took place on Wednesday, April 15 and as seen in security camera footage shared by TMZ, a fan allegedly comes over to the rapper and slaps her as she sits with a friend eating her food. Spice allegedly responds by getting up from the table as the fighting continues out into the Hollywood streets, according to video obtained by the outet.

The aftermath of the incident could lead to legal consequences for Spice’s alleged attacker following a statement from the rapper’s lawyer.

“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD, and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” the rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told TMZ. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”

Spice has since responded to the incident with a post on X sharing with security footage, writing, “this wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s”
