Charles Barkley doubles down on Warriors” ‘relevance’ after Draymond Green feud

The dynasty era of the Golden State Warriors came to an end after what was nothing short of an incredible run that most other NBA teams that haven’t experienced that ultimate glory can only be insanely jealous of.

A few players from that era remain on the Warriors roster, including Steph Curry and Draymond Green, the latter of whom has clearly left his best days behind. Green has made headlines recently for his feud with NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley on Monday’s edition of ESPN’s “Inside the NBA” when asked what he’d do if he joined a new team.

“I think the goal is just to not look like you in the Houston Rockets uniform,” Green answered to Barkley. “It’s ultimately the goal for us.”

Barkley has now responded to Green’s quip while on “The Dan Patrick Show”, saying the Warriors haven’t been a relevant NBA team in years now.

“The Warriors haven’t been relevant for three or four years,” said Barkley via NBC Sports Bay Area. “They’ve been in the Play-In. When you’re in the Play-In, you’re not in the playoffs. That’s something Adam Silver, who I love Adam Silver, but the Play-In is something they just made up to have more games to put on a different network. When you’re in the Play-In, the Warriors have been in the Play-In, I think, for four straight years. They’ve been irrelevant, and I know he doesn’t want to say it.”

“If Golden State was relevant, he wouldn’t be in the studio with me!”

Green has played his entire NBA career with the Warriors, and it would be a strange sight to see.
