Cameron Young cruises to 6-shot PGA Tour win at Trump Doral

The PGA Tour returned to Trump Doral for the first time since 2016, and Cameron Young put together an emphatic win. The New York native stormed to a six-shot victory at the Cadillac Championship behind a Sunday 68. Young now has three PGA Tour wins, all since August of 2025.

Young got off to a great start to the Cadillac Championship with a 64 on Thursday to take the lead. Through some Florida weather and changing tee times on Sunday, Young never wavered on the course. He put the tournament away with his electric Sunday round, securing the win.

Young has become a star on the PGA Tour in recent months. He finally got in the winner’s circle at the Wyndham Championship last August and has been riding that wave ever since. He was the best American at the Ryder Cup in September, won The Players in March, and nearly won last month’s Masters.

Young became the third player to win at TPC Sawgrass and Doral in the same year. Steve Elkington was the first in 1997, and Tiger Woods followed him in 2013. Back then, the two events were close together as part of the Florida Swing. But for Young, it took two months of solid play to pick up two Sunshine State wins.

Young did not pull off the largest margin of victory of this PGA Tour season. That belongs to Justin Rose’s seven-shot win at Torrey Pines.

This was the first event back at Trump National Doral since 2016. The WGC Cadillac Championship was previously hosted at the course, but that event ended with changes to the Tour’s schedule. LIV Golf played at the Blue Monster last year, and now the PGA Tour is back in South Florida.

The PGA Tour schedule continues with the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina. Last year, Sepp Straka won the Truist, but it was at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Quail Hollow hosted the PGA Championship, which Scottie Scheffler won. But the number one player will not be in next week’s field.

Scheffler will be back in action in Philadelphia two weeks from now, defending that PGA Championship victory. Aronimik Golf Club will play host to the major championship in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Young will be among the favorites for that event because of his incredible driving distance and solid major championship record, despite remaining winless.
