Brooks Koepka gets completely honest on enjoying golf again
Brooks Koepka is back on the PGA Tour and currently participating at the Masters. Koepka is currently -3 and is hoping to make a push over the weekend. Koepka is excited to be back on the PGA Tour, and Marty Smith of ESPN asked Koepka if he has found new gratitude for the Masters as well.
“I’m just enjoying the game a whole lot more,” Koepka said. “I think there’s a huge difference if I’m excited to come out and play every week. It is just overall, if your happiness is through the roof off the golf course and on the golf course, it’s really tough to beat it. You’re to enjoy every day, everything you’re doing.”
Rory McIlroy currently holds a commanding lead at the Masters. He is -12 at the moment. The next closest score is -6, which both Sam Burns and Patrick Reed have.
Brooks Koepka has a lot of ground to cover in order to win the tournament. Still, at -3 heading into the weekend, he is in a respectable position. The final outcome may be determined by McIlroy’s performance on Saturday and Sunday. If he is able to continue performing at an elite level, then he will find himself in a position to win the tournament. If McIlroy’s performance dwindles, though, Koepka may be able to make a push at winning the tournament.
At the very least, Koepka is enjoying the game of golf again. It is often easier to find success in the game of golf when you are having fun playing it.
