Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Best Setup for Rare Brawler

In this Brawl Stars El Primo guide, we’ll take a look at his attacks, stats, and skills and create the best build possible. El Primo is a powerful close range brawler who can take hits and jump great distances. Without further ado, let’s take a look at El Primo.

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – How To Unlock

To unlock El Primo in Brawl Stars, players can:

  • Unlock him on Trophy Road when you earn 210 trophies
  • Unlock him from a Mega Box (1% chance)

You’ll most likely earn El Primo on Trophy Road. But if you’re incredibly lucky and get a Mega Box, there’s a chance you can unlock him sooner. But overall, he’s a very easy brawler to unlock.

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Attacks, & Stats Per Level

El Primo’s Main Attack, Fists of Fury, is a close-range, piercing attack with a very fast reload speed. Primo delivers four punches in the direction that he’s aiming at.

Primo’s Super, Flying Elbow Drop, lets you use an aimable jump where Primo crash lands on his enemies. The attack deals solid damage, gets Primo near his opponents, knocks them back, and destroys walls, making it a very useful ability.

Furthermore, El Primo Possesses a trait where his super charges every time he receives damage.

Additionally, take a look at El Primo’s stats (These are Primo’s stats as of May 2026. All Stats are subject to changes and may not be reflected here):

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?

Overall, El Primo has two gadgets:

  • Suplex Supplement – “El Primo grabs the closest enemy within his reach and flips them like a pancake over his broad shoulders.”
  • Asteroid Belt – “El Primo summons a small meteor to strike the nearest enemy. It deals damage and destroys walls.”

Additionally, Primo has two Star Powers:

  • El Fuego – “Enemies caught in El Primo’s Super will cause burn damage for a brief period.”
  • Meteor Rush – “El Primo gains a speed boost briefly after using his Super.”

Furthermore, Primo can use the following gears in battle:

  • Speed
  • Vision
  • Health
  • Shield
  • Damage
  • Gadget Cooldown

Lastly, Primo’s Hypercharge, Gravity Leap, pulls any enemy he hits towards him while also revealing the location of enemies in bushes and invisible enemies.

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup

For Gadgets, Both work well and depend on your situation and preferences. Asteroid Belt seems to help on Brawl Ball when you need to destroy walls and create scoring opportunities. Furthermore, it deals a good amount of damage if you manage to hit an enemy with it. But Suplex Supplement seems to help in combat situations as well as taking the ball away from someone. Personally, we slightly prefer Asteroid Belt.

For Star Powers, the situation is exactly the same. We prefer El Fuego because it makes El Primo’s Super much more powerful. The burn damage also prevents enemies from healing, forcing them to fall back. Meteor Rush isn’t bad, but the benefits of El Fuego are too good to pass up on.

For Gears, We really like using the Speed Gear with Primo, especially on bushy maps. He’ll have an easy time chasing down targets and charging his Super. But for maps without bushes, we recommend a Shield and Damage Gear. Primo has a lot of health, but it never hurts to give him a bit more endurance. And in case his health does run low, his damage gear may help in a pinch.

Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use El Primo In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)

Brawl Ball

Primo’s ability to jump, destroy walls, flip brawlers, and take damage all make him a great brawler for brawl ball. Pair him with a Poco or another great healer who can keep him alive while he charges his Super. Use El Fuego to set your opponent on fire, open a lane to the goal, and score a goal! You can also use Asteroid Belt or Suplex Supplement, both of which are useful for BB.

Duo Showdown

Primo’s piercing attack makes it easier for him to destroy boxes. Furthermore, he’s got a fast reload speed and moves around quickly, too. Therefore, pair him with a good healer or brawler like Tara who can wrangle opponents in for him. Additionally, he can use his Super to hop around the map to escape or pursue enemies.

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use El Primo In?

Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout

Unless the map features lots of bushes and cover, Primo may struggle in these modes. His close-range attack stands no chance against the Mandies and Pipers of the world. Even if he does manage to get close, many brawlers have methods of stunning, pushing, or silencing him along the way. We generally do not recommend Primo on these maps and modes.

Overall, that wraps up our Brawl Stars El Primo Guide!
