Ben Stiller has literally never been happier after New York ends 53-year title drought
Ben Stiller is elated that the New York Knicks have won an NBA championship following the 53-year title drought.
The diehard New York Knicks fan was in the building to witness the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals and bring an NBA championship back to New York. This is the Knicks franchise’s third-ever NBA championship following their 1970 and 1973 wins.
After the game, Stiller was seen outside the Knicks locker room and when asked how he felt about the Knicks’ win after the game, he responded, “As happy as I’ve ever felt. It’s pretty amazing.”
Fans agreed with Stiller’s reaction, even those who aren’t a part of the Knicks fanbase: “I’ve been a lifelong nuggets fan and it was one of the best days of my life when they won, unexplainable feeling it’s just pure joy in that single moment.”
Another fan sarcastically reacted to Stiller, writing, “It was all Ben. He carried that team from his 70 points per game to his 80 percent free throw accuracy. He deserved the Larry O’brien Championship trophy…….”

Stiller has been seen courtside at several games throughout the season, including their playoff run this season. He admitted that he went to great lengths after the Knicks Game 3 loss against the Spurs to ensure that they would win the chip.
“My wife, Christine, and I came home after the last game and burned the clothes we were wearing,” Stiller said. “I’m not ever wearing that stupid final shirt that I was wearing.”
“You wipe it clean,” Stiller added. He however, did not throw away one piece of clothing noting that “had good games with them.”
“But otherwise, everything else, you start fresh,” he said.
