Allisha Gray’s stats reach uncharted Dream territory in win over Lynx

Allisha Gray filled up the stat sheet en route to making incredible franchise history in the Atlanta Dream’s 89-81 win over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday night.

Gray is going through the 10th season of her WNBA career, her fourth with the Dream. She shines as one of the best players in the league, landing on the All-WNBA First Team last year.

In 35 minutes of action, Gray excelled throughout her display on the court against Minnesota defenders. She finished with a stat line of 23 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two steals. Her efforts ended up allowing her to be the first Atlanta player to achieve a certain stat line in a game.

How Allisha Gray, Dream played against Lynx

Allisha Gray enjoyed balling out on the court as the Dream coasted to an 89-81 win over the Lynx. Getting a win over the team with the best record in the entire league is huge for an Atlanta squad that has championship aspirations.

Four players scored in double-digits for Atlanta in the win, including Gray. Rhyne Howard delivered a strong night with 16 points, three assists, two steals, and one rebound. She shot 6-of-16 overall, including 2-of-9 from downtown, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. Jordin Canada came next with 16 points and 10 assists, while Angel Reese provided 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Atlanta improved to a 26-14 record on the season, sitting at second place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the New York Liberty and the Washington Mystics while trailing the Indiana Fever.

The Dream will look forward to their next matchup, remaining at home. Being on break due to the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup, they host the Connecticut Sun as tip-off commences on Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
