Aces’ Becky Hammon makes eye-opening take on Jackie Young after Valkyries game
Becky Hammon expressed her full support of Jackie Young’s talents following the latter’s performance in the Las Vegas Aces’ win over the Golden State Valkyries on Sunday evening.
Young is going through the eighth year of her WNBA career, all with the Aces. The 2019 first overall pick made her way up the ranks as one of the best players in the league, helping her team win multiple titles in the process.
However, she is experiencing a rough patch of games with her offensive production leaving a lot for the team to desire. Despite these lows, she may have turned a corner in Las Vegas’ latest clash against Golden State.
In 37 minutes of action, Young boomed with a performance of 23 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and one steal. She shot 9-of-17 from the field, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Hammon reflected on her performance after the game, per reporter Madisyn Cunningham.
“I trust her work. Sometimes I think I trust her work more than she trusts her work,” Hammon said.
