49ers’ Week 1 injury report vs. Rams gets downgrade
While the San Francisco 49ers deal with the drudgery of traveling to Australia, they had one player who didn’t make the flight. And the Week 1 injury report versus the Rams got a downgrade, according to a post on X by Matt Maiocco.
“DL Sam Okuayinonu (foot) has been downgraded to OUT for the Week 1 game against the Rams, the 49ers announced.”
Okuayinonu is a second-team player for the 49ers. He is a 28-year-old, three-year NFL veteran. Okuayinonu started in 12 games for the 49ers in 2025, recording 39 tackles and three sacks. He also had seven quarterback hits.
The 49ers will play the Rams on Thursday at 8:35 p.m.
