England have named uncapped batter Aneurin Donald and uncapped seamer Henry Crocombe in their white-ball squads for Sri Lanka's tour of England, scheduled from September 15 to September 27, 2026. The series comprises three ODIs and three T20Is.

Donald has been included in the 16-player T20 squad, while Crocombe earns his place in the 16-member ODI squad. Harry Brook captains both sides, with Jos Buttler also named in each squad.

"Aneurin has had an exceptional season for Derbyshire in the Vitality Blast and also with Trent Rockets in The Hundred while Henry is a player we have had an eye on all summer," England men's national selector Marcus North said as quoted by BBC.

What do the call-ups mean for Donald and Crocombe?

Both Donald and Crocombe are uncapped at international level, making these selections their first opportunity to represent England in senior white-ball cricket. Their inclusions follow strong showings in domestic competitions during the 2026 summer.

Donald's performances for Derbyshire in the Blast and for Trent Rockets in The Hundred were specifically highlighted by North as the basis for his T20 selection. Crocombe's consistent form across the summer was enough to earn him a place in the ODI setup.

The T20 squad also includes experienced names such as Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Ben Duckett, Gus Atkinson, Saqib Mahmood and Liam Dawson, meaning Donald will be competing for a spot in a settled group. The ODI squad similarly features Joe Root, Rehan Ahmed and Jamie Overton alongside the returning Crocombe.

Sri Lanka's white-ball tour of England runs from September 15 to September 27, 2026, covering three ODIs and three T20Is. The series gives England an opportunity to assess their white-ball depth ahead of the ODI World Cup in 2027 set to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
