Bill Goldberg looks like a madman in viral celebration during Colorado’s clutch win over Georgia Tech

As the nail-biting football game between Colorado and Georgia Tech came to an end after the Buffaloes blocked a field goal attempt, Bill Goldberg, whose son Gage is on the team, was seen celebrating.

The ESPN broadcast showed Goldberg, who was standing in the front row of the game between Colorado and Georgia Tech. Suffice it to say, he was hyped.

The game came down to the wire. Georgia Tech had a chance to take the lead late with a field goal, but it was blocked. This makes the Buffaloes 1-0 on the season.

Gage Goldberg is a linebacker for Colorado. In 2024, he logged the sole tackle of his career. He previously redshirted his freshman year.

His father, Bill Goldberg, is best known for his career in professional wrestling. Before he began spearing his opponents in the ring, he was doing that on the field.

He played college football at the University of Georgia. Goldberg was a defensive tackle for the Bulldogs from 1987 to 1989, earning First-team All-SEC honors in his last season. He was drafted in the 1990 NFL Draft in the 11th round. During his professional career, he had stints with NFL teams like the Los Angeles Rams, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers.

Additionally, he played in the CFL for the BC Lions and the WLAF for the Sacramento Surge. He won a World Bowl championship in his lone season with the Surge.

He’d transition to professional wrestling in 1997, debuting in WCW. He went on a lengthy win streak, winning 173 consecutive matches.

Goldberg would eventually jump to WWE in 2003, only staying around until 2004. After leaving WWE, he would make his return over a decade later in 2016. His second stint started well when he resumed his feud with Brock Lesnar. However, he would win several world championships from young stars like Kevin Owens and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. His last match was against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, 2025.
