Tip 1 – Manchester City vs Coventry City: Over 3.5 goals

Enzo Fernandez has been reunited with Enzo Maresca and Manchester City fans can look forward to seeing the most expensive midfield in history take to the pitch at the Etihad Stadium.

Elliot Anderson and Fernandez appear set to form the base of City’s midfield – a pair assembled at the cost of £241m. The Citizens have an engine room which is the envy of their rivals and Coventry City should be comfortably outclassed on Saturday.

Expect City to slip into the free-scoring form which has seen them win six of the last nine Premier League titles and for there to be four or more goals in the game.

Tip 2 – Nottingham Forest to beat Tottenham

Tottenham fans are fearing another season of struggle after an awful start to the new campaign – and a trip to face the Tricky Trees is far from ideal for vulnerable Spurs.

Nottingham Forest took a point from Anfield last Saturday and there is a positive mood at the City Ground. Spurs look woefully short of firepower, failing to score in their two league games this term.

Tip 3 – Fulham vs Crystal Palace: Under 3.5 goals

Fulham and Crystal Palace are yet to register a point this season and there is bound to be a nervous air around Craven Cottage on Saturday. Both sides could be in for a difficult campaign battling relegation.

Both sides – certainly Palace – would probably accept a point from this match, so this seems likely to be a tight, tense, low-scoring affair between two sides lacking much attacking quality.

Tip 4 – Hull City vs Aston Villa: Nicolas Jackson to score

Aston Villa followers are low on morale, having seen star players depart for more lucrative pastures, and Unai Emery is having to reconstruct the side. Losing Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa, Ollie Watkins, Emi Martinez and Youri Tielemans has ripped the spine from Villa.

New signing Nicolas Jackson has suddenly become so important for Villa. The big-money recruit from Chelsea is a real threat in front of goal and will be the focal point of most Villa attacks at Hull.

Tip 5 – Chelsea to beat Arsenal

Signing Emi Martinez could be a masterstroke from Xabi Alonso and Chelsea can advertise their title credentials by beating the champions.

Chelsea are oozing attacking flair and class, so if their new keeper performs well at the Emirates, the Blues have the goalscoring power to stun the Gunners and take all three points.
