Giants’ Cam Skattebo reveals exact conversation with John Harbaugh that led to viral moment

John Harbaugh is a demanding head coach, and Cam Skattebo knows that very well. The New York Giants running back was in the news after he was seen interacting with Harbaugh, which led to a smirk reaction from the coach.

In a recent conversation with Kay Adams on her show, Up & Adams Show, Skattebo revealed what exactly was going on between him and the Giants’ head coach.

“That video going around of me and Harbaugh on the sidelines of not liking what I said or whatever, but I think the conversation was just less of a happy joking conversation. It was just kind of a more serious conversation. It wasn’t nothing negative or nothing positive,” Skattebo said.

“But I’ll just say the conversation was more messed up to knee the ball going into your own end zone at the one-yard line or actually scoring it? And, that’s kind of what we were talking about,” he added.

While he did mention it was a healthy conversation between a player and his coach, Skattebo clarified that both Giants men are on the same page.

“I think me and Harbs we’re on same page. We love each other. Awesome. We’re me and him talk every single day. There’s no bad blood between us,” he later added.

The interaction in question was from the Giants’ preseason finale against the New York Jets. In the clip, Skattebo was seen making a hand gesture while Harbaugh tipped onto his back. The 2025 fourth-round pick then turns his back to say something, and Harbaugh looks visibly irritated.

Though there’s no exact transcription of what the two were exactly saying, if taken by the RB’s words, everything looks just fine inside the NY camp.
