49ers’ Brock Purdy updates fans on toe injury before 2026 NFL Draft

With the San Francisco 49ers preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft, the team got some encouraging news ahead of the event dealing with its starting quarterback, Brock Purdy. On top of the 49ers signing star offensive tackle Trent Williams to a contract extension, Purdy gets some more positive news regarding his toe injury.

Purdy’s last season has been impacted due to a lingering toe injury that kept him out for a handful of games, and even when the quarterback returned, it limited him in certain areas. Needing the rest in the offseason, Purdy would reveal that he is in a “really good spot” when it comes to the toe issue.

“Yeah, it feels great, and like I told you guys last year when I came back, when I do come back from this toe debacle thing, I’ll be good to play my way of ball. That was the whole thing, and I did. Obviously, with some time off and stuff, and some more training and things like that, it feels great. I’m feeling like I’m in a really good spot,” Purdy said, via NBC Sports.

Last season, Purdy played in nine games, where he threw for 2,167 yards to go along with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in what was an up-and-down season because of the injuries, where the 26-year-old couldn’t find a true rhythm. At any rate, Purdy looks to be 100 percent when it comes to San Francisco next season as the team wants to further improve after finishing with a 12-5 record, which put them third in the NFC West.

The team would have a relatively disappointing playoffs as the 49ers lost in the divisional round to the eventual Super Bowl champions and division-rival, the Seattle Seahawks. There’s no denying that Purdy is hungry to bring San Francisco back to the Super Bowl.
