WWE’s Tiffany Stratton drops odd ‘just a boy’ take on Brock Lesnar’s retirement
Due to its suddenness, it appears no one was ready for Brock Lesnar’s retirement at WrestleMania 42, including another WWE Superstar associated with Minnesota, Tiffany Stratton.
During an interview with Adrian Hernandez, Stratton didn’t know how to feel about Lesnar’s sudden retirement. She, like most WWE fans, was surprised.
“When I saw Brock unlace his boots, I almost [shed] a tear,” she revealed. “I was sad for him. He looked like he started crying a little bit, too.”
Things took a turn when Stratton then said, “He’s just a boy. It’s his first time living, too.” Lesnar, 48, is nearly double Stratton’s, 26, age. His professional wrestling career has also lasted over two decades.
Clearly, she was still emotional from the suddenness of his retirement. She conceded that she hopes that wasn’t his “last” match. With SummerSlam coming up in August in Minneapolis, Minnesota, could Lesnar make his return for one last match? Stratton hopes so.
“Hopefully, [at] SummerSlam in Minnesota, we’ll get to see him,” Stratton wished. “I think that would be iconic, retiring in your hometown. I’m really sad but happy for him.”
Stratton was born and raised in Prior Lake, Minnesota, and attended St. Catherine University for college. Lesnar, meanwhile, was born in South Dakota, but he is associated with Minnesota because of his alma mater, the University of Minnesota. SummerSlam will emanate from Minneapolis, and as Stratton said, Lesnar having his final match there would be “iconic.”
Brock Lesnar’s sudden retirement at WWE WrestleMania 42

Lesnar took on Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 in a match that lasted under five minutes. In that time frame, the two destroyed each other, and it just took one chokeslam and powerbomb for Femi to slay the “Beast Incarnate.”
Afterward, Lesnar remained motionless in the ring. He eventually sat up, and then he began taking his gloves and boots off. This is usually a gesture used to signal the end of a career.
Lesnar appeared emotional as he was doing so, even crying a little bit. Paul Heyman, his longtime advocate, joined him in the ring, and they emotionally embraced.
