Patriots’ Drake Maye shuts down revenge game narrative vs. Seahawks
The New England Patriots will begin the season with a Super Bowl LX rematch against the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, September 9. While it’s an opportunity for the club to get back at Seattle for the championship loss, Drake Maye does not view the Week 1 opener as a revenge game for New England.
He said as much on Saturday when asked about the matchup, according to Mark Daniels of MassLive. The 24-year-old signal-caller gave the Seahawks credit for winning the title last season, and appears solely focused on just playing the Week 1 contest against Seattle.
“Drake Maye says this isn’t a revenge game for the Patriots,” Daniels reported.
“They won the big one,” Maye said.
