WWE’s CM Punk looks absolutely jacked amid post-WrestleMania hiatus

A fan happened to spot WWE Superstar CM Punk out in the wild at the gym during his hiatus after his WrestleMania 42 loss to Roman Reigns.

TikToker Connor Sinann was filming himself at the gym when Punk walked into frame. He wrote, “I was training with bro and then I saw a dude who looked sorta like CM Punk,” over the video.

Sinann later realized that it was the “Voice of the Voiceless.” Initially, he didn’t recognize Punk since he’s “yoked AF now.” Punk was wearing a tank top, showing off his arms, prompting Sinann to joke that he “tried John Cena’s routine.”

Why is CM Punk on a WWE hiatus after WrestleMania 42?

WWE fans haven’t seen Punk compete in a match in over a month since WrestleMania 42. Reports from False Finish and Fightful Select (via Cageside Seats) report that he is “awaiting creative” direction.

It sounds like WWE doesn’t have concrete plans laid out for him. In turn, he has been waiting for his next storyline. This would explain why Gunther was pulled from his storyline on Monday Night RAW and placed on Friday Night SmackDown. Jacob Fatu has also started a feud with Reigns over the World Heavyweight Championship.

At WrestleMania 42, Punk and Reigns closed out the weekend’s festivities in the main event of the show, marking the first time that Punk had main evented WrestleMania. They put on an epic 34-minute contest that ended with the “Tribal Chief” standing tall. Reigns is coming off his first title defense against Fatu at Backlash.

This ended his second World Heavyweight Championship reign at 169 days. He had beaten Jey Uso to win the vacated championship at the November 2025 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

During his reign, Punk had several successful title defenses. He defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker, Finn Bálor, and AJ Styles.
