WWE star Rhea Ripley reveals new look after hair shake-up
As she recovers from a torn meniscus injury that required surgery, WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has changed up her look by debuting a new hairstyle.
She first showed off her new hairstyle. It appears Haunted Vanity cut it, and they described it as the “perfect blend of hard + soft.” Her long locks were chopped on her shoulders.
It didn’t stop there, as “Mami” also had her hair dyed. Blonde highlights were added to her usually dark hair, adding more color than WWE fans have seen in years.
WWE fans may remember that when Ripley joined the promotion, she had blonde hair. It appears she is going back to that on some level.
Rhea Ripley’s WWE injury hiatus
“Mami” has not wrestled in a televised match since Clash in Italy on May 31, 2026. She successfully defended the Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at the PLE. It was a rematch from their WrestleMania 42 match. Ripley entered the match as the challenger for the Women’s Championship, beating Cargill to win the title for the second time.
However, her injury derailed her plans for the summer. WWE has not forced Ripley to relinquish the title despite her injury. Chelsea Green won a ladder match at SummerSlam 2026 in August to win the interim Women’s Championship. However, she also suffered an injury. Similarly, WWE did not force her to relinquish the title. Instead, she was given a month to get medically cleared.
Ripley is only 29 years old (she will turn 30 on Oct. 11), but she is one of WWE’s top stars. She has won four world championships on the main roster, including having a 380-day reign as Women’s World Champion from 2023 to 2024. Her other accolades include becoming the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion, winning the NXT Women’s Championship, winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice (with Nikki A.S.H. and Iyo Sky), and winning the Royal Rumble in 2023.
