AEW President Tony Khan confirms champion suffered broken hand injury before All In

Just days before the 2026 edition of AEW All In in London, Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale has suffered a hand injury. Recently, just hours after the Aug. 26, 2026 edition of AEW Dynamite in Glasgow, Bryan Alvarez of WON confirmed Nightingale’s injury. However, he also added that despite the injury, Nightingale was scheduled to defend her title at All In.

At the recently held AEW All In media call, Tony Khan confirmed that Willow Nightingale is injured. Khan noted that the champion is currently dealing with a broken hand. Despite the injury, Khan confirmed that Nightingale will still be able to title against Mercedes Moné this Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, inside Wembley Stadium.

The AEW President said that Nightingale’s injury caused changes to what he had planned for the Glasgow edition of AEW Dynamite. However, despite the scare, she will wrestle against Moné at All In.

Earlier this year, Nightingale was sidelined for several weeks because of a shoulder injury. She had to withdraw from the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament and give up her TBS Championship. However, she managed to return and defeat Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Redemption.

AEW’s Willow Nightingale once opened up about her aspirations outside of wrestling

A few years ago, in an interview with Bleacher Report, Nightingale shared her ambition of becoming a pro-wrestler as well as her aspirations outside of the ring. “I have been tossing around the idea of going back to school while doing this just to have a degree to fall back on or to get extra knowledge on how to run my business if that is an avenue I want to embark on, but mainly I feel like I’m drawn to things where I can either help educate children or just generally bring that spark of Willow bubbliness to different events.”
