WWE bringing Wrestlepalooza back, but there’s a catch
The very first WWE PLE on ESPN as part of their broadcasting deal was Wrestlepalooza, which will return in 2026, but not in the same location.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, WWE announced that it will be returning to Perth, Australia, after Crown Jewel 2025, to bring Wrestlepalooza — which took place in Indianapolis, Indiana, last year — there on Saturday, Dec. 12.
Perth, Western Australia, will host WWE Weekend Takeovers annually over the next three years kicking off with Wrestlepalooza: Perth on December 12, 2026 live from RAC Arena. Three-event combo tickets go on sale Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10 AM AWST.

That will not be the only show in Western Australia in December. WWE will also broadcast the Friday Night SmackDown before (on Dec. 11) and the Monday Night RAW after (on Dec. 14) at RAC Arena.
Fans can sign up for pre-sale access. Three-event combo tickets will be available to purchase on Thursday, Sep. 10 at 10 am AWST.
WWE’s second-ever Wrestlepalooza

The card for the second-ever Wrestlepalooza is unknown as of the time of this writing. Expect it to be a star-studded show, if last year’s event is any indication.
The first Wrestlepalooza was headlined by John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar for the last time. They have a storied history, but their feud was put to bed at the event. Unfortunately for Cena, it was no different than their matchup from SummerSlam 2014. The “Beast Incarnate” obliterated the 17-time world champion in the event’s opening match. This set the tone for the last leg of his retirement tour.
Additionally, AJ Lee made her return to the ring for the first time in a decade. She teamed up with her husband, CM Punk, to face another WWE husband-wife duo, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
Stephanie Vaquer defeated Iyo Sky to win the vacated Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza 2025. This marked her first world championship on the main roster.
The main event was a singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. The “American Nightmare” beat the “Scottish Warrior” to retain the championship.
