Trey Mancini to retire with Orioles with one-day contract

With former Baltimore Orioles slugger Trey Mancini announcing his retirement, there will be a celebration of his career with the organization he spent the longest with. As Orioles fans are sure to be emotional during Mancini’s retirement celebration, he will end his career officially as part of the team.

According to Bob Nightengale, Baltimore has announced that the ball club is signing Mancini to a one-day contract, so he could retire with the team. The team would later post to its social media accounts that festivities for the event will be on Sept. 19, which was accompanied by a video with Mancini.
