Wings’ Paige Bueckers will have same home as Cooper Flagg in 2027

The Dallas Wings will play all of their home games next season at American Airlines Center, giving star guard Paige Bueckers the same home arena as Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg. The team announced the move on Monday, confirming that the relocation to the 20,000-seat venue will serve as a temporary arrangement while work continues on its long-term downtown home.

The Wings had previously signed a 15-year agreement with the City of Dallas in 2024 to play at the renovated Dallas Memorial Auditorium, a venue expected to seat about 10,000 fans. However, construction delays have postponed that transition, leading the franchise to shift its 2027 home schedule.

The organization also remains on track to open its new $55 million performance and training center in Dallas’ West Oak Cliff neighborhood next April. The facility will become the franchise’s permanent training headquarters.

The move ends the Wings’ 11-season run at College Park Center in Arlington, where the team has played since relocating to North Texas before the 2016 WNBA season. The arena, located on the University of Texas at Arlington campus, has a seating capacity of 6,251 and is roughly 20 miles from downtown Dallas.

The decision follows successful events at American Airlines Center. Dallas hosted two regular-season games there in 2025, including a June 27 matchup against the Indiana Fever that drew a sold-out crowd of 20,409. That game set a franchise single-game attendance record, established the largest WNBA crowd ever in Texas, and became only the eighth regular-season contest in league history to surpass 20,000 fans.

The Wings are scheduled to play two more games at American Airlines Center this season after defeating the Chicago Sky 96-91 there earlier in 2026, facing the Golden State Valkyries on Aug. 7 and the Indiana Fever on Aug. 20. Current season-ticket members will receive the first opportunity to choose seats for the 2027 campaign, with renewals beginning Aug. 10, while new season-ticket purchases will open Aug. 20 alongside the Wings-Fever game.
