Watch Jesse Minter lose himself with Eminem rap at rowdy team dinner

So far, the Baltimore Ravens are having a good preseason. Last Saturday, the Ravens handily defeated the Eagles 24-7.

On Saturday, Baltimore will head out to Minnesota to play the Vikings. In between practices and tune-up contests, there is downtime. Head coach Jesse Minter took the team out for dinner on Thursday night to let loose.

And in the process, Minter ended up losing himself, in a good way. He got on the mic and decided to spit some Eminem lyrics, per Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report.

He and the team were rapping along to Eminem’s iconic 2002 song “Lose Yourself”. The video was also posted on X, formerly Twitter, by wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane.

“Lose Yourself’ has become an anthem of perseverance and determination in the face of tremendous odds. The song was the title track of the soundtrack for 8 Mile, the coming-of-age biopic about Eminem, an aspiring rapper trying to rap his way out of his circumstances in Detroit’s 8 Mile.

The Ravens are trying to use those sensibilities to overcome an 8-9 season last year and miss the playoffs. Additionally, Lamar Jackson was out with injuries.

Fast forward to today, the Ravens are looking for a fresh start after Minter was hired in January following the firing of John Harbaugh after 18 seasons.

According to Austin Mock of The Athletic, Baltimore is expected to win the most games in the AFC. He also said they have a 7.4% chance of winning the Super Bowl.
