Watch Devin Vassell put exclamation mark dunk in Game 7 win over Thunder
The San Antonio Spurs sparked unrest inside “Loud City” by jumping on the Oklahoma City Thunder early. Then Devin Vassell snatched the soul out of the champs with the NBA Finals trip on the line. All after throwing down a monstrous dunk to seal the 111-103 win Saturday at the Paycom Center.
Vassell was all alone during a transition attempt. OKC missed a desperation 3-pointer, which the Spurs turned it into a monstrous two points.

Vassell already sounded locked in for the hostile environment. Even though many across the league this young Spurs team was a year or two away still.
“What could you ask for? Western Conference Finals against the defending champs in their city, in their arena. We know it’s going to be loud. About to be the villains tonight, and I can’t wait,” Vassell told reporters before the game tipped off.

Vassell struggled briefly facing the two-time Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Especially after SGA dropped this fadeaway on the Spur.

He even got tangled up with Jared McCain and fell hard on the floor. But Vassell rose as one of seven different San Antonio players to surpass the double-digit mark. He dropped 11 points on the evening, with the 11th off that final dunk. San Antonio fans exploded in euphoria, as the Vassell throwdown ended a 12-year finals dry spell.
Vassell was a teenager the last time the franchise made it to the championship series. San Antonio won the Larry O’Brien Trophy the last time it appeared in the finals. Now Vassell will aim to hand the Spurs their sixth NBA Finals crown.
