Warriors tap Georges Niang for final roster spot on $3.9 million deal

The Golden State Warriors brushed themselves off after losing the LeBron James sweepstakes and finally finished their free agency shopping on Tuesday. Shortly after signing guard Brandon Williams, the Dubs scooped up veteran forward Georges Niang on a one-year, $3.9 million contract, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Warriors once again went into the offseason with a big appetite, but they leave with a bag of appetizers instead. Although finger food can certainly get the job done, the organization was under heavy pressure to build around the Curry platter and provide their fans with a feast befitting of a top-five seed in the NBA playoffs. If the Dubs endure more injury misfortune, another unfulfilling campaign could await.
