UFC’s Conor McGregor vows to be “back” after ACL injury

Conor McGregor’s much-awaited UFC return against Max Holloway failed to impress. At UFC 329 on Jul. 11, 2026, McGregor made his five-year-long return to the Octagon against his former rival, Holloway. Battling major controversies and injury setbacks, McGregor injured himself again just seconds into the match.

Within 69 seconds, McGregor injured his ACL and was ruled out of the fight. Now at the receiving end of several trolls and online attacks, McGregor has finally broken his silence with a video. On his 38th birthday, McGregor took a sip of his energy drink with his wife before turning the camera on himself and promising a return. “We’ll be back,” McGregor claimed. “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let’s go.”

As of now, there are no confirmed return updates on McGregor’s return.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier believes Conor McGregor won’t be returning

Recently, while speaking on his YouTube channel, UFC legend Daniel Cormier explained why he is not sure about Conor McGregor making another UFC comeback. “If you ask me truthfully, I am more likely to tell you guys that it’s not gonna happen than it will happen. He’s very unique and I think the whole week showed that he’s the biggest star we have and the whole week showed that. I just wonder if he even does try to come back once again, do people even buy into it again and say they wanna see Conor McGregor go at it one more time? It really sucks as well, because the card itself was insane,” Cormier said.
