Manchester City could be set for a squad overhaul this summer following Pep Guardiola’s departure.

The Spaniard has left the club after ten years as manager at the Etihad Stadium.

During that time, he won 20 trophies including six Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

Following his exit, Guardiola is set to be replaced in the dugout by Enzo Maresca.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva and John Stones will also leave the club ahead of next season.

The pair are both out of contract at the end of this month and bid farewell during their final day clash with Aston Villa last month.

City futures

However, two more City stars could still be on their way before the transfer window closes.

Both Josko Gvardiol and Rodri have refused to rule out departures ahead of next season.

Instead, the pair have said they will decide their respective futures after the World Cup.

Gvardiol endured an injury-ravaged campaign, including a four-month lay-off after suffering a broken tibia in January.

The defender, who has two years left on his contract, was limited to 25 appearances in all competitions as a result.

Prior to the World Cup, Gvardiol spoke to reporters during a press conference whilst on international duty with Croatia.

The 24-year-old explained: “We’ve all seen the rumours coming from all sides. I’m happy at Manchester City, I have everything I need.

“Before the injury, I played every game and almost every minute. After the World Cup, we’ll see what happens.”

Rodri is also prepared to wait until the tournament ends before making a decision on his City future.

The Ballon d’Or winner has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.

Asked about the speculation over his future, he admitted: “It’s part of football. I’m focused on being a leader in the national team.

“That’s my path. I understand the noise, but I’m not going to spend my time on that. We’ll see after the World Cup.”

Rodri’s current City deal is set to expire next summer, having joined the club in 2019.

Similarly to Gvardiol, the midfielder also battled injuries during last season, with knee, hamstring and groin issues disrupting his campaign.

Despite the fitness concerns, Rodri made 33 appearances across all competitions.

Although City missed out on the Premier League title to Arsenal, he was able to help them win both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
