Tottenham star reveals he’s passed ‘difficult’ English citizenship test
Tottenham star Richarlison’s love affair with England looks set to continue long into the future.
He may have a tattoo of a heart wrapped in the Brazil flag on his chest, but Blighty is also a special place for the striker.

With some Spurs stars reporting for training this week, it was an important chance for the players to talk about their summers.
Those who weren’t involved at the World Cup went across the globe on their holidays, enjoying time off with their loved ones.
But it appears Richarlison had one important bit of business to attend to in England.
In a video on Tottenham’s Instagram captioned ‘Richarlison the Englishman’, the Brazilian had clearly been chatting about taking a citizenship test.
He was then asked about the questions he had to answer.
“The questions?” he explained. “Queen Elizabeth. The wars. The First World War, the Second World War, it’s difficult.”
Asked if it had been a success, he replied: “I passed, I passed. Of course. I studied for three months.”
However, despite this there is one thing he won’t be doing.
Queried if he’d now be supporting England at the World Cup, he replied while revealing his chest tattoo: “No, I’m Brazil.”
The 29-year-old is about to begin his 10th season in the Premier League having arrived from Fluminense in 2017.
He arrived at Watford and made an immediate impact at Vicarage Road.
So impressive was he – playing in every game in his debut Premier League season, the only Hornet to do so – he earned a £35million switch to Everton.
There he showcased his talents as a finisher with double figures in each of his four campaigns at Goodison Park, as well as proving his versatility, also starring on the left wing.
During the last of those seasons on Merseyside, Everton were in a relegation battle and his six goals and two assists in his final 10 matches were vital as they stayed up.
This form and his impressive resilience and work ethic saw Tottenham spend £60m on him.
His debut season saw him struggle for form and fitness but he returned to his best under Ange Postecoglou during the 2023/24 campaign.
Injuries hit again in 2024/25, however, when it came to the crunch as the team battled for survival and Europa League glory, he produced brilliant displays.
His exhausting role in their Europa League final win over Manchester United set the standard for his teammates as he ran himself into the ground.
Similarly, in a tough spell last season as they battled relegation again, Richarlison put in displays full of graft to score 11 Premier League goals and help Tottenham survive once more.
