Tigers’ Parker Meadows lands on IL with multiple injuries after scary moment

Parker Meadows was carted off the field during the Detroit Tigers’ 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Thursday after a scary collision with teammate Riley Greene. Nearly 24 hours later, the club officially placed Meadows on the IL with multiple injuries.

The 26-year-old outfielder was placed on the 10-day IL for now with a concussion and a broken arm, according to Evan Woodbery of MLive Media Group. With Meadows focusing on recovering from the concussion and broken arm, the Tigers are recalling outfielder Wenceel Perez from Triple-A Toledo.

“The Tigers have placed Parker Meadows on the injured list with a concussion and a broken arm,” reported Woodbery. “Outfielder Wenceel Perez recalled from Triple-A Toledo and in the lineup tonight.”
