Thunder’s Chet Holmgren gets absolutely roasted for brutal 4-point Game 7 vs. Spurs
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Chet Holmgren’s four-point dud in Game 7 against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs won’t sit well with fans throughout the postseason, as the defending champions saw their goal to win back-to-back titles slip through the cracks in a 111-103 season-ending loss. While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Game 7 perfomance carried the Thunder down the stretch, Holmgren’s disappearing act stuck out like a sore thumb amidst the Spurs closing out the fourth quarter.
With the Thunder’s season on the line, Holmgren delivered his worst performance, as he was dominated by Wembanyama and the Spurs’ frontcourt.
