This tour of LaMelo Ball’s Charlotte penthouse will blow your mind
The Minnesota Timberwolves made a big splash this offseason when they acquired point guard LaMelo Ball from the Charlotte Hornets via trade, and as Ball completes his move to the Twin Cities, he’s in the process of loading up all his belongings from his former residence in Charlotte.
During that process, fans were treated to one last look at LaMelo’s Ball’s old Charlotte penthouse before he leaves for good and joins the Timberwolves. And what a view it was. Ball’s home was adorned in florescent and neon colors, several displays and cases of collectible merchandise, and various other odds and ends as well as a complete side-by-side basketball arcade game that is usually found in places like Chuck E. Cheese or Dave And Busters.
Residence aside, the Wolves are certainly elated with the addition of Ball to play alongside Anthony Edwards in the backcourt. With the departure of Mike Conley Jr. via free agency, and Donte DiVincenzo likely lost for the majority of the season due to the Achilles injury suffered last postseason, the Timberwolves were in need of guard depth.
Ball joins the team on the heels of one of his best seasons statistically, and regarding his health. He appeared in 72 games this past year, only the second time in his six-year career thus far that he’s played in over 55 games.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Ball averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.2 steals with splits of 40.7 percent shooting from the field, 36.8 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 89.9 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
